Summer Safari!!!

  1. Find an image- a portrait, action shot, scene. ect.- FOR EACH SCHOOL SPORT/ACTIVITY that you think should be photographically recreated next year for the book.
  • Soccer:
    Mens-
So this shot is from a Timbers away game against the Earthquakes on July 27th of this year.

I think that this shot would be good because players don’t realise what kind of faces they make during their games, and if you get the right one, it can look quite good.

    Womens-

    (portland’s thorns)
I like the action shot (top one) because the photographer got a lot of the players feet off the ground, so it looks very interesting. The action shot (bottom one) is nice because the one player is in color, so that is where your eye is drawn first. This might be a good shot for the teams MVP.
  • Cheerleading
I think that this would be a good way to go about the shot because you see the progression. Maybe get a shot like this at the beginning and the end of the year to show how much they have improved.

  • Cross Country
This one would be good for doing maybe the best runners from each grade

This might be a nice alternative to the normal cross country team portraits

I like this one because they got it so that their aperture focus was only on the one runner.
  • Dance Team
I thought that these would be a different way for yearbook to do their team photos for dance thats not the standard way.

I thought these would be a cool way to go about action shots

  • Football
I thought that this might be a nice idea for MVP’s of all the Football teams or something along those lines.

I was thinking it’s a good shot of a player taking some time to themselves to get back to reality after being in the hustle and bustle of the game.

Since this is Oregon, I figured that we would have a lot of opportunities to do a shot like this.
  • Volleyball
I think that this would be a good action shot, because it shows one of the very few pauses in a volleyball game.

It would be a good action shot, and doesn’t seem like it would be that hard to get.
This would be a good portrait photo.

2.  Look at websites, magazines, tumblrs, blogs, movies, television (and anything else) for ideas about current trends and innovated in:
4. ICE BREAKERS for getting to know each other in September:
